Accreditation History

OSUIT was first accredited in 1975 and participates in the Higher Learning Commission on a recurring basis and in accordance with its guidelines and standards.

Accredited OSUIT Programs

OSUIT programs hold accreditation by professional associations and state agencies in addition to institutional accreditation. Specialized program accreditation sets standards and evaluates individual programs' ability to meet them, assuring stakeholders of quality and OSUIT's commitment to improvement.

Accreditation Criteria

The Higher Learning Commission uses the Criteria for Accreditation to evaluate whether an institution qualifies for accreditation or its renewal. Each of the five criteria includes core components, with some further broken down into subcomponents.

Specialized Accreditation

OSUIT holds accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission and is approved by several key agencies, including the Board of Regents for Oklahoma State University, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and the Oklahoma State Accrediting Agency.

Many of our programs also have specialized accreditations from professional associations and state agencies. These accreditations ensure our programs meet industry standards, providing students and families with confidence in the quality of education and our commitment to continuous improvement.
